On July 13, 2022, New York Blood Center Enteprises (NYBCe) honored the retirement of Dr. Connie Westhoff and Christine Lomas-Francis.  The Immunohematology and Blood Group Genomics: Past Milestones and Future Direction symposium celebrated Dr. Westhoff’s and Christine Lomas-Francis’ far-reaching contributions to the field of transfusion medicine.

Connie Westhoff, SBB, PhD

Dr. Westhoff began working at New York Blood Center in 2010.  She served in the following roles within New York Blood Center Enterprises:

  • Head, National Center for Blood Group Genomics
  • Member, Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute

Christine Lomas-Francis, MSc, FIBMS
