New York Blood Center (NYBC) and the Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) of New York partnered again to host the highly successful 2025 Skyscrapers for Life Competition. The organizations invite real estate properties to host blood drives, encourage increased blood donations, and compete for recognition.

The 2025 challenge, which ran from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025, exceeded expectations. Beginning with a projection of 2,200 donations, the campaign ultimately resulted in more than 2,482 blood donations. This represents a 51% increase from BOMA property management companies throughout NYC, when compared to the previous year’s campaign. With 13 new properties joining the competition this year, the 23 total properties contributed nearly 1,000 of their donations during one of the year’s critical time periods. This year’s awards were presented at BOMA’s Holiday Luncheon on December 5 at the iconic Ziegfield Ballroom.
“We are deeply grateful to our real estate partners at BOMA New York, its chairman, Patrick Dolan, and Executive Director Lori Raphael, for helping make Skyscrapers for Life a tremendous success,” said Yadira Navarro, Director of Community and Stakeholder Relations at NYBC. “Thank you for proving that building strong communities goes far beyond property lines—it’s about saving lives together.”
