On September 28, NYBC held a blood drive at SUNY Maritime, where our teams collaborated to finish strong, welcoming over 140 donors and collecting an amazing 156 pints.
After a low turnout during the weekend storm, this blood drive was pivotal in getting our collections back on track. Team Leaders Felicia Sheppard-Brown and Justin Chalfin, along with their Team, rose to the challenge of making this drive a success. The collaboration across all NYBC teams made that happen at a time when the blood is most needed, giving top service to nearly 150 donors.
Special thanks and congratulations to Tom Behrens, Manager, Technical Operations, whose work with the SUNY IT teams brought our SAHH network online at this location for the first time in a decade!
