Two local Massapequa families came together to give back in the most powerful way—by helping replenish the blood supply for patients who depend on lifesaving transfusions.
Hosted by Vinny’s Army and Tina’s Titans, this special drive honored the stories of Vinny Cusumano and Valentina Ramirez, two young community members who know firsthand how critical blood donations are. Vinny received more than 30 blood and platelet transfusions during cancer treatment, and Valentina required over 20 transfusions while battling Aplastic Anemia. Their journeys are a reminder that behind every unit donated is a real person, a family, and a life saved.
