The Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute (LFKRI) at New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe) is accepting applications for faculty positions at Assistant, Associate, and Full Member levels. LFKRI consists of faculty members with diverse expertise spanning basic and translational investigation into the cellular, molecular, and biochemical basis of hematology. We are the largest non-profit research institute of benign hematology in the world.
Candidates with expertise in hematology, hematopoietic stem cell biology, immunology & immunotherapies, infectious disease, population studies, and sentinel exploration and/or modeling of emerging diseases are encouraged to apply.
Located along the Upper East Side in Manhattan, LFKRI neighbors world-class research universities that support a highly collaborative biomedical research environment. LFKRI faculty develop innovative, externally funded research programs supported by competitive research grants. LFKRI offers access to a wide variety of shared core facilities, including state-of-the-art flow cytometry, confocal and EM microscopy, GMP-compliant research spaces, internal IACUC and IRB support, and access to NYBCe blood donor resources providing candidate faculty with an exciting opportunity to engage in collaborative, cutting-edge research in transfusion and regenerative medicine.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD and/or an MD or equivalent degree and productive prior research. The successful applicant will receive a competitive start-up package and modern research space and access to the wealth of resources and core facilities available at TKRI and neighboring world-class research universities. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and lead an outstanding extramurally funded research program and contribute to the mentoring mission of the Department.
Salary
For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $110,000/year to $250,000/year, and commensurate with the applicant’s skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates.
