Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mark Sander is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). In this role, he leads the organization’s digital strategy and technology innovation, driving digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, technology compliance, and enterprise data capabilities to support NYBCe’s mission of advancing lifesaving care and biomedical innovation.

Mark brings more than 30 years of executive technology leadership experience across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and consumer healthcare industries. Prior to joining NYBCe, he founded and led his own consulting firm, providing fractional and interim CIO leadership and strategic advisory services to both public and private companies. Previously, he served as the inaugural Chief Digital & Information Officer at Azurity Pharmaceuticals, Chief Information Officer at Church & Dwight, and in senior technology leadership roles at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Schering-Plough, and MannKind Corporation. Mark is also a frequent public speaker on technology and compliance.  He sits on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Rutgers Masters in Business and Science program.

Mark earned an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
