Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Richard (Rick) Kiernan is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). In his role, Rick provides strategic leadership for human resources, working to recruit and retain staff of the highest caliber. This role encompasses areas such as benefits and compensation, employee relations, wellness, and professional development.
Prior to joining NYBCe, Kiernan served as Regional Chief Human Resources Officer for RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) since 2012. He led the HR function for three Hospitals totaling 6,000 employees with a focus on Talent Acquisition, creating a positive and fair culture, Retention, and Employee Engagement. He worked for RWJBH for a total of 21 years.
Rick earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Human Organization Science from Villanova University.
