Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff
Rick Youngblood is the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe). In this role, Rick oversees sales and customer service for blood, laboratory, medical, and clinical services and is a member of NYBCe’s Senior Leadership Team, which manages all day-to-day operations and provides counsel for strategic business initiatives and major projects from ideation to implementation.
Driven by a desire to be part of something that has a real impact on humanity and is ever-focused on finding solutions that save lives, Rick entered the blood industry and world of transfusion medicine in 1997, joining Blood Assurance as chief operating officer and was then named CEO in 2009. Prior to his work at Blood Assurance, Rick held leadership positions at several multinational corporations, including Mitsubishi, TDK, and Denon. Dedicated to a life of service and mentoring young professionals, he has served on the board of directors for the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga, Erlanger Health System, and Junior Achievement of Chattanooga. He was an adjunct professor of international business management at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was named Adjunct Faculty Professor of the Year.
Rick is a member of America’s Blood Centers and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received his Bachelor of Science from Georgia State University and a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA.
